Park Lane Homes handed over the final home on The Moorlands development in the summer of 2017. Just four individually designed detached five and six bedroomed Georgian style villa properties were available, each boasting a host of outstanding features and landscaped gardens and occupying a setting of rare quality in the charming riverside village of Boston Spa. These homes are a true reflection of what we’re about here at Park Lane Homes – stunning new builds that offer a classic, timeless and luxurious feel whilst having all the benefits of modern construction.
The beauty of buying a Park Lane Home, where new-build homes meet classic style, is that the
interiors are modern, airy and full of life whilst still retaining a timeless elegance.
At Park Lane Homes, we take great pride in how we operate from planning to handover. The first, and arguably the most important step, is choosing the right location. We chose Boston Spa for a variety of reasons, that you can read about here. From there, we set about laying down the solid foundations needed for any home.
A coursed reclaimed Yorkshire stone was used to all elevations and covered in blue slate roofs. The choice of materials used will ensure that these substantial homes fit perfectly into the prevailing character of these delightful properties.
Natural timber double glazed windows and hardwood external doors were used on all of the properties. A painted finish was applied to the moulded skirting boards and architraves and a number of the internal doors were beautifully finished in a natural oak veneer. The ironmongery throughout the properties was designed to enhance the doors and add the perfect finish. Each staircase was carefully designed as a focal point of the property, the principal elements included the hand rails, newel posts, spindles and strings made from natural oak.
Nestled on the banks of the River Wharfe, with its arched bridge and Georgian architecture, Boston Spa is the kind of idyllic village which embodies the picturesque charm of rural Yorkshire. Here you can enjoy a tranquil escape from the stresses and strains of town and city but stay within easy reach of their many amenities.
Wetherby, Leeds, York and Harrogate are all a short drive away. The village centre provides some useful amenities of its own, including a number of pubs, a post office, library, service station, butchers, hardware store, off-licence and a supermarket.
Thriving nearby Wetherby features a popular weekly market and a monthly farmers’ market. Its period buildings, and riverside walks provide an attractive setting for a host of places to eat, drink and shop, from stylish bistros to elegant boutiques and independent furniture stores.
For those who like to sample the vibrancy of city life now and then, Leeds features a combination of cultural, commercial and entertainment options which are among the best in the UK. In addition to offering a world-class gastronomic experience, the city is equipped to provide a healthy session of retail therapy for all kinds of shoppers.
Historic York offers its own unique city experience with ancient cobbled streets providing a stunning backdrop to a vast range of specialist and designer outlets, traditional pubs, superior restaurants and contemporary café bars.
The wealthy spa town origins of Harrogate have left a legacy of grand hotels, beautiful parkland and elegant gardens. Visitors unwind with a stroll along The Stray, a spa session at the Turkish Baths or an exploration of the many welcoming tea rooms (including the renowned Betty’s Café Tea Rooms) and antique shops.
Here at Park Lane Homes we are always looking for the best opportunities for new projects. The best way to keep in the
loop is by joining our mailing list and being the first to hear about any upcoming developments…
